Peer pressure or plain manipulation?!

As a child I read a story of a farmer who bought a kid (baby goat) and was carrying it on his shoulder, walking back to his farm!

On the way 5 thieves spotted him and decided to steal the goat! Without violence!

All they did was 1 by 1 , they commented on why the farmer was carrying a "rabied dog" on his back!

First time farmer brushed it off, second time he paused and looked again to confirm it was a kid and third time he was doubtful, after 5th person asked him he threw the "dog" and ran away!

Mass Media with its constant bombardment of news, using same phrases and drilling in same messages, does exactly the same!

Having worked for a very prestigious newspaper, I can assure you everything that is printed is sponsored, glorified propaganda!

If a wealthy advertiser wants something printed you, do it and if they don't, you don't!

News, movies, TV series and seemingly innocent entertainments like kids cartoons are presented in a way to brainwash people into unquestioningly believing an agenda!

We saw how easy it is to silence dissenting, questioning voices by simply tagging on "anti----" labels and attacking them with slurs!
